Once your Minecraft server is set up with HostByte, you’ll need to know how to connect to it. This guide shows you how to find your server’s connection information and connect from any device. Whether you’re the server owner or a player joining, we’ll cover everything you need to know. 🛠️
Your server connection details are available in your HostByte Game Panel:
➡️ Log into your HostByte control panel
➡️ Click on your Minecraft server
➡️ Look for the “Connection” or “Server Info” section
➡️ Note your server’s IP address and port
⚙️ Server Connection Details
You’ll need these details to connect:
✅ Server IP Address - Your server’s unique address
✅ Port Number - Usually 25565 (default Minecraft port)
✅ Server Version - Make sure your client matches
✅ Any Special Requirements - Mods, resource packs, etc.
⚙️ Connecting from Minecraft Java Edition
To connect to your server from Minecraft Java Edition:
➡️ Open Minecraft Java Edition
➡️ Click “Multiplayer” from the main menu
➡️ Click “Add Server” or “Direct Connect”
➡️ Enter your server’s IP address
➡️ If using a custom port, add “:port” after the IP
➡️ Click “Done” and then “Join Server”

If you can’t connect, try these solutions:
